Case is being actively review. USC- Filed i130 online for spouse overseas. NOA rec’d on 03/04/2021. Status updated on 07/23/2021. Case was at Nebraska and then transferred to Vermont. My service center is Texas and my petition was received on 08/20/21 and was mailed a letter of receipt notice 2 weeks later. I'm the US citizen petitioner and my beneficiary is from Nigeria.

“Being actively reviewed” is misleading at best. There isn’t an officer staring at your file 8 hours a day since December. It takes less than an hour to do an average I-130. That being said, you’re within normal processing times. USCIS is estimating 4-7 months for my case before sending it to the National Visa Center. Next month I’ll be 7 months, so I don’t think it’s going to take months or years. Also the Nebraska location is working pretty fast. I130 timeline: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.
