Started failing today - same machine, windows 10. tried clearing cache, change browsers, etc bu... Xfinity Hangouts needs to be swapped out or on limited rotation. ie; legacy on demand tv systems, always playing in the on demand menu. So every time for the past two years at least, that we use our legacy motorolla surfboard to access the classic on demand menu with xfinity, the most highly annoying 'Xfinity Hangouts' show continues to play in the back ground on an infinite repeat loop.Learn to fix your TV service.

As mentioned, it's up to Xfinity, who built the app and provides the servers to which the app connects, to resolve this. Comcast will need to resolve this.
